The Mountaineer Restaurant overlooks Soco Gap and Sheepback Mountain. Built on 3 acres of beautiful property at approximately 3,800ft. elevation, we have an awesome view of the mountains and are located two miles west of Ghost Town and just below the Nine Story Tower. We can spot the back side of Catalochee Ski Resort and the roller coaster at Ghost Town! It is just beautiful, giving us the “Home of the Million Dollar View”.

The restaurant has been in operation since the 60’s, with the original building built in the 30’s, making us one of several legends on the mountain. The interior is cozy and friendly, with tongue and groove pine floors, ceiling and walls. We have a wood burning fireplaces for the chilly winter days and all of our skiing and tubing friends. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 1.5 miles away, making us a great destination for summer and winter travelers and motorcycle enthusiasts! Serving everything from peanut butter and jelly to Surf and Turf, we are family oriented and affordable. We serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, will pack you a picnic lunch and even provide the picnic basket, cater your affair or host your party!

Fireside Lodge

This two level, 5 bedroom, 1,500 sq. foot cabin makes a great getaway for large families, motorcyclists traveling together, or a gathering of friends! Upstairs you will find one bathroom and 3 bedrooms; one king and two doubles. Downstairs; 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, making this a roomy cabin that will sleep 10! You’ll love all the space offered, a large, unique, full full kitchen with a dishwasher, dining room, living room with wood burning fireplace, washer, dryer, and a great outdoor area. Situated on one wooded acre, you will enjoy the sounds of the rushing stream, with a creek running alongside the outdoor Jacuzzi and into the trout pond. Out back there is a secluded patio with a charcoal grill, picnic table and wonderful sitting area to enjoy the woods or the outdoor fire pit beside the stream Fireside Lodge is located just minutes form Cataloochee Ranch and Ski Resort and is easily accessible year round. You are only 1 mile from Ghost Town and Maggie Valley, and minutes minutes from Waynesville, Cherokee and Harrah’s Casino, The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, and of course, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountains! The Creekside Cottage

Located on 1.4 wooded acres is everyone’s favorite! With 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, and a pull out sofa in the living room, Creekside Cottage sleeps 6. There is a gas fireplace, cable TV, living room, dining room, full kitchen, dishwasher and dryer and screened porches, and a fire pit beside a rushing stream! This is the place to relax and enjoy the mountains. Bring your pole, you can fish off the back deck, splash around the stream, and explore the surrounding woods.

This cabin is great year round. Cataloochee Ranch and Ski Resort is only 2 miles up the mountain, and Ghost Town parking lot is only 1 mile down!
