1. When will my ad be published?

This depends on several factors:

* The time it takes to register a domain name if you choose or use www.MountainShops.com/yourname.com

* The time it takes for you to supply us with all necessary information & we will take photos if needed.

* Complete payment for all services rendered.

* Usually two weeks.

 

2. How do I cancel an ad?

To cancel an ad on MountainShops.com , please call, fax, e-mail or letter mail.

Phone call (828) 926-6577. Please give your name, business name, phone number, ad description and reason.

If you leave a message, be sure speak clearly. To cancel an ad by fax, please send it to (828)-926-0698. To cancel an ad in person or by mail, our address is MountainShops at 127 Happy Acres Rd, Waynesville, NC 28785.

Your ad will be removed the next time we update our site, usually within 24 to 48 hours.

 

3. Do you offer web design and hosting services?

Yes! For Mountain Shops members only. For detailed information, please call (828) 926-6577.

 

4. Can I place an ad or advertise if my business is outside of WNC?

Yes, quick link target ads only and can be placed from any page within MountainShops.com Premiere Web Advertising within the following areas only.

Price: $50 to $200.

 

5. I can't see my ad on my computer at home, but I can at work. What's up?

If you feel you may not be viewing the most recent version of Mountain Shops.com,

please refresh your browser and check your browser cache settings.

To clear your browser cache in Internet Explorer, go to Tools -- > Internet Options -- >

Temporary Internet Files, then click on Delete Temporary Internet Files.

Then click on Settings and select "check for new version of stored pages" on "every visit to the page."

 

6. Can I have my own www.__________________.com?

Yes. A Domain Name is your I.P. (Internet Presence) address. (eg. http://www.yourname.com )

The "yourname" could be your business name if it is available. Go to www.GoDaddy.com and enter in the name you want to see if it is available. All Domain Names must be registered with a yearly fee to a domain registrar. We can help with this.

 

7. Do I need a computer in order to have a website?

No. It is not necessary to own a computer. Your web site is posted to the Internet for those with Internet access to view.

Your contact information could be your phone number or business address.

 

8. What is a hosting company?

A hosting company is where your Domain Name is "parked", and becomes your server to the Internet.

Your website is posted to the Internet via access to the server.

Hosting companies charge a monthly, quarterly, or yearly fee.

* Mountain Shops offers free Hosting for Members (1 to 10 pages.)

 

9. Can I add more pages as I need them?

Yes. Most of Mountain Shops clients start off with just a one page, you can add more later. $100.00 per page.

 

10. How long will my website exist?

It will exist for as long as you pay a low yearly renewal cost, and keep your Domain Name registered.

 

11. How will people find my website?

Mountain Shops averages 5000 plus page views daily and growing. You will still need to promote your website with business cards, stationary, brochures, signage, word of mouth, etc.
