Smackers Sports Grill is a popular local restaurant and bar located halfway between Waynesville and Maggie Valley NC. It’s a common stopping point for bikers and visitors traveling through the Great Smoky Mountains. Smackers is a great place to eat and it won’t drain your wallet either. We have a great selection of entrees, sandwiches, salads and home-made desserts as well as a full bar area where meals are also served. We have comfy booths and ample seating at tables also. There is a handicapped accessible straight walkway with parking on the upper level for those who need a smooth pathway. We are only ten minutes from Waynesville or Maggie Valley, and only 25 minutes from Harrah's Casino in Cherokee. Our wait staff are professional and friendly and happy to share their favorite visitor sites in the area. We accept all major credit cards.

Marvin "Popcorn" Sutton (October 5, 1946 – March 16, 2009) was an American Appalachian moonshiner originally from Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Sutton considered moonshine production a legitimate part of his heritage, being as he was Scots-Irish and descended from a long line of moonshiners.
