David Boone has been a local resident and businessperson who has lived in and loved the mountains of Western North Carolina for his entire life. David is now making his life long dream a reality by opening a first rate riding facility to the public.
Daniel Boone Riding Stables will offer Western style riding, and guided scenic trail rides, in the beautiful Crymes Cove area of Waynesville, North Carolina. Wide safe trails, sometimes crossing wild clear running streams, will provide riders with mountain-meadow views, pastureland views, rocky views, and will lead to them to an elevation of over thirty five hundred feet with a summit panoramic mountain vista and a view of historic Waynesville and Lake Junaluska.
There is no better way to see the true colors of the seasons than by being out in nature on horseback. All of your senses will be captivated by traveling at a horse’s pace. The smells, sounds and colors that the seasons offer the beautiful mountains of North Carolina will be a family experience that you will always cherish and become a must do on your return visits.
Trail rides average approximately one and a half hours depending on trail conditions and rider’s abilities. All trail rides will be accompanied by an experienced trail guide. Hot dog feast at trail’s end by request.
Restrooms are available at the stable. Light refreshments and snacks may be purchased.
