We are an independent Science of Mind and Spirit Community located in the Smoky Mountains of Haywood County, in Western North Carolina and our pastor is Frank Kish.

We are a teaching, not preaching, community and see you as the perfect spiritual being you are.

Do you enjoy watching Oprah on TV, or reading Dr. Wayne Dyer or Deepak Chopra? Then you'll feel right at home at our Sunday Celebrations, meditations and/or classes. Music is also important to us and we always include positive and uplifting songs and musicians at our gatherings.

Gee...what's Science of Mind and Spirit? Good question. We're not exactly a religion, because we don't have doctrine and dogma...but we are very spiritual and have services on Sunday.

It's more a philosophy for life, with an interesting name… Margaret & Rev. Frank Kish

Science of Mind and Spirit, (we're not connected to Scientology, by the way) is also called Religious Science and it was founded in 1927 by Dr. Ernest Holmes in California to teach about the positive, unifying beliefs found in all great world religions, profound philosophies and scientific breakthroughs.

Eighty years later, Science of Mind centers are found throughout the world and people from all different backgrounds attend Sunday Celebrations and/or classes.

It's an adult way of viewing our world based on what each person can discover about life by using spiritual intuition, intellect and information. Some of Dr. Holmes's contemporary influences as teachers were Thomas Troward, Emerson, Thoreau, and Emma Curtis Hopkins. Many have found Science of Mind to be a loving, accepting, inclusive and open-minded way of life and living. It offers practical, prove-it-to-yourself techniques for improving your life.

As Dr. Holmes said, "There is a power for good in the universe greater than you are and you can use it." We'll help you discover how. It's a fabulous journey!
