River Valley RV Park and Campground is located river front
on the Cherokee Indian Reservation, adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and just minutes from downtown Cherokee North Carolina where you can visit Native American craft shops, see Unto These Hills Outdoor Drama, visit the Oconaluftee Indian Village, the Museum of the Cherokee Indians, Cherokee Heritage Gallery and much more!
River Valley is centrally located to all of Western North Carolina's major
attractions. The Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina is just a few miles from River Valley
Campground. Harrah's is less than 10 miles from the campsite, Santa's
Land is just a short 15 minute drive, Ghost Town is just over the mountain
in Maggie Valley, and Dillsboro with all it's quaint stores is less than 30
minutes away.
The grounds at River Valley Campground are kept in great condition and
there is 24 hour security for your convenience. River Valley Campground
offers a wide variety of campsites for you to choose from, including river
front, quiet area, and shady spots. Each campsite offers full hookups. |

Being river front, there is always something to do. The fishing is
spectacular, as the river stocked with brown, rainbow and brook trout.
Tubing and swimming are always a favorite! Tubes are available for
rent at the office. There are hiking trails as well as a waterfall adjacent
to the property for your enjoyment.
We pride ourselves in making River Valley Campground a family oriented
campground. We invite you to bring your bicycles, scooters, fishing poles
and your walking shoes! |

Directions:
From Asheville: Take I-40 Westbound to Exit 27 US 74. Take Exit 74.
Follow Highway 441 North through Cherokee until you enter the Great
Smoky Mountains Nationals Park. As soon as you enter the National
Park, turn right onto Big Cove Road and follow the signs to River
Valley Campground and Store.
From TN: Take I-40 Eastbound to US 74. Take Exit 74. Follow Highway
441 North through Cherokee until you enter the Great Smoky Mountains
National Park. As soon as you enter the National Park, turn right onto Big
Cove Road and follow the signs to River Valley Campground and Store.
Or from Gatlinburg /Pigeon Forge, TN, you can also take the Great Smoky
Mountains National Park Road over the mountain. This is a very scenic
drive but has some very steep grades. Once you come down the mountain,
just before Cherokee you will see Big Cove Road on your left, Turn
left and Follow the Signs to River Valley Campground and Store.
