 The Newfound Lodge is a gem that sits above the beautiful Oconaluftee River. Visitors to the Lodge return again and again. Once you stay here, you will want to come back, too!
 If you are at all like us, you easily get bored with the sameness of the chain motels. The Newfound Lodge is a one-of-a-kind. It sits right on the Oconaluftee River. You look down into the clear waters from your balcony and see the trout. There are ducks and geese bobbing on the waves.
Songbirds fly by at eye level and sing as they go by. They alight on the feeders so you can bird-watch. You have your own porch and a boardwalk to stroll on if you like.

 Rooms that all have private balconies with river views and large picture windows that allow you to enjoy your stay even more by being able to see the many different kinds of river birds and other wild life.

 A wooden boardwalk runs along the length of the Lodge and is perfect for a river walk.
The Oconaluftee River is well known as a great place to fish for trout. The river’s waters run clear and can also be enjoyed for a refreshing dip.
