“Live free, eat well, follow your passion”
Lisa Wood always had a dream -- to open a restaurant and so she bought one. Lisa drove through Sylva one day and that was all that it took. “I absolutely fell in love with the town.”
Lisa is not only the proprietor of the Spring Street Café, she also brings along her gift for making delectable homemade desserts. Spring Street Café offers its customers fresh baked daily specialties, like chocolate raspberry layer cake, apple pecan struedel, pumpkin cheesecake, strawberry napoleons and a variety of pastries made with locally grown seasonal fruits. Lisa is famous for her chocolate pecan pie, which is affectionately known at Spring Street as “Foxhunter’s Pie.”
At Spring Street Café the philosophy is that good food is best served in a comfortable atmosphere.
Executive Chef, Karl Englemann began performing his magic in the kitchen in January of 2008. Karl will tell you that Spring Street Café is Sylva’s restaurant.
Karl has introduced Sushi Night on Wednesdays and will often ask customers “What do you feel like this weekend for a special”? This is just one of the ways that the Spring Street Café makes local residents and visitors alike feel at home.
